Pascale Vielle

Professor of Law at ULB and UCL

Professor of social law at UCLouvain since 1998. Of Belgian and Swiss nationality, she holds a law degree from ULB (1988) and a doctorate in law from the European University Institute in Florence. She has worked as a researcher at ULB, the University of Geneva, and the Institute for Advanced Study in Nantes, which she directed in 2021-2022. Her research is conducted from a multidisciplinary perspective and adopts a critical approach to comparative, European, and international social law. She has particularly devoted herself to themes of social protection, social law governance, gender equality and “law and gender,” and more recently, the integration of the ecological dimension into these various themes.
